Introducing Perpolita
Perpolita is a new game studio, and it's one person: me. I work on it in the evenings and on weekends, around a full-time software job.
The name is Latin for "thoroughly polished," which is the whole ambition in one word: small things, finished properly. It is also the name of Perpolita hammonis, a snail a couple of millimetres wide with a shell polished like glass.
The first game is Semblature: A Deduction Game, a single-player puzzle game for PC. It has its own site at semblature.com and a Steam page to wishlist.
A few commitments, up front, so they're on the record from post one:
- Nothing ships that requires you to guess.
- Games have a stated expected playtime and ending.
- Accessibility options ship at launch, not after.
- Where AI tools touch anything player-visible, it's disclosed itemised and kept current. Semblature's disclosure is here.
This devlog will be irregular on purpose. Posts happen when there is something real to show, not on a schedule.
